I was trained on the 5 point protocol for auricular acupuncture by a NADA nurse practitioner. 

 

Originally, this protocol was developed to help people in rehabilitation facilities who are detoxing or drying out from alcohol and drug addiction. It has been found to be much better alternative than Methadone. 

 

The needles stimulate points related to the Kidneys, Heart, Lungs, Liver and the Sympathetic Nervous System.

 

A session promotes relaxation and helps the body eliminate the toxins associated with drug and alcohol use. Sessions are also beneficial for the cessation of smoking cigarettes and/or severe anxiety that may be indicative of underlying addictive type behaviors or feelings.

 

In accute cases a session may be given as often as everyday until symptoms are relieved. (special pricing available for those situations)

 

A person trying to detox from drug or alcohol use needs to be in the care of a trained health care worker. I am happy to work with the health care worker to provide services.
